Section 60
<br> to take possession of the crops and goods related thereto
If there is reasonable cause to believe that this Act has been violated during the storage or transportation of any forest products, any forest employee or security personnel may seize the weapons, boats, vehicles and quadrupeds related to such forest products and offences.
(2) If any forest product or item is confiscated according to sub-section (1), the employee or security personnel who seized it shall open the details of the seized forest product or item and give the compensation to the concerned person, and after putting a special mark on such forest product or item, check the measurements and check the division as soon as possible. The report should be submitted to the Forest Office or Sub Divisional Forest Office.
(3) Weapons, boats, vehicles or quadrupeds related to crimes other than forest products seized as per sub-section (1) on the condition that at least one officer or member of the relevant local level and at least two local officials are registered on the day and place specified by at least a gazetted second class employee or similar security personnel. In the presence of the person, the property can be released by documenting it.
